Soccer Challenge

Every year, as the kids return to school and the air begins to chill the Knights of Columbus host the annual Soccer Challenge. This fall event features children, ranging in age from ten to fourteen demonstrating their skills at performing the basic penalty kick. The Pavia Council sponsors the local competition, with trophies going to both boys and girls winners in each category and the eligibility for the winners to advance to district, regional, and state level competitions.

The Challenge divides the soccer goal into regions that have point values assigned. Judges use these regions to evaluate each participant's kicking skills. For complete details of how the Soccer Challenge is run refer to the Rules and Regulations brochure.
